New MBGH Staff Will Focus on Worksite Health & Wellness

Memphis Business Group on Health is pleased to announce that Tara Hill has joined our staff as Project Coordinator to assist our members in planning worksite health and wellness strategies, including early program implementation, and to coordinate MBGH's CEO Culture of Health initiative.

Tara is available to provide assistance to MBGH members and employers who have signed on to the CEO Culture of Health initiative. As part of that assistance, she can:

  • perform a brief worksite health assessment to identify the health and wellness programs that are already iin place and identify high impact priorities for future implementation
  • review the suggested programs and help participants select the one that fits their organization best and can serve as a road map for developing a comprehensive culture of health
  • assist in developing an implementation plan, including advice on early activities that will help build employee engagement and lay a foundation for program sustainability.
  • make periodic check-in-calls with participants to gauge implementation progress and provide advice to address challenges or barriers.

For MBGH members, Tara can provide additional in-depth assistance including help plan and assist with early implementation of actual worksite health and wellness programs.

As a reminder, the CEO Culture of Health initiative asks CEOs to commit to creating and maintaining a culture of health by supporting and promoting employee health through the organization's policies, programs, and benefits. CEOs commit to selecting at least one of four programs to use as their road map to implement the culture of health and to at least one of Healthy Memphis Common Table's policies for healthy eating and active living.

Tara has a BS in Education with a major in Health and Human Performance from the University of Memphis. She concentrated in Health Promotion and Lifestyle Management and will start in their Masters program this fall.
