Employers Are Addressing Obesity, But There is More to Do

A survey of small to mid-sized employers conducted by the National Business Coalition on Health in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Safety Council, shows that employers are already addressing obesity in the work place, but that there is still more to do.

Major findings include:

  • Obesity prevention should be framed as an overall healthy lifestyle issue
  • Leadership is necessary at all levels
  • Resources and partners are needed
