2011 Let's CHANGE Health Summit

Memphis came together and BELIEVED in the Grizzlies, coming out in throngs from across the city to support the grit, fight and spirit of our team!
One Facebook fan put it this way, "I
love you, Grizzlies! You made Memphis soooo proud! In the midst of
tornadoes and flooding, you brought our city together. You carried us
through the storm. We are going to carry you all the way next season. I
BELIEVE MEMPHIS."
Let's not stop now! Let's ride this belief, spirit, and commitment and "Believe in a Healthy Memphis."
On
Wednesday, July 27, 2011, people from all over Shelby County will come
together to shape an agenda to make Memphis one of America's healthiest
cities.
We will focus on what we can do
to improve our health where we live, where we play, where we work, where we heal: h ealthcare,
where we heal: faith, and where we learn.
The
day will be full of action, discussion, debate, decision making and
celebration. Together, we will forge a plan that no one organization
could accomplish on its own. By working together, we will create a
culture in Shelby County that supports the very causes we all champion!
Memphis
Business Group on Health is sponsoring this summit, in collaboration
with the Shelby County Health Department and Healthy Memphis Common
Table. The summit will advance the work of the Let's CHANGE initiative
and the State of Tennessee's Obesity Task Force and Eat Well, Move More
state plan for physical activity and nutrition.
There is no registration fee and a continental breakfast, lunch and parking are provided!
This
summit is supported through a grant from the United Health Foundation
and the Community Coalitions Health Institute, a subsidiary of the
National Business Coalition on Health. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is supporting the work of the Where we heal: faith group.
